[Event Report] 13th Health Policy Academy Interim Presentation Meeting (November 28, 2024)

Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI) held the Interim Presentation Meeting of the Health Policy Academy (HPA), marking the midpoint of all lectures. The purpose of this meeting was to report on progress and further refine the content of policy recommendations in preparation for the final presentation. The Interim Presentation Meeting featured Mr. Kohei Onozaki, Board Member of HGPI, and Ms. Kyoko Ama, Fellow of HGPI, as commentators at the Interim Presentation, which was attended by many HPA Alumni from the 1st through the 12th sessions.

After each group’s presentation, a Q&A session was held in which instructors, participants and HPA Alumni with diverse backgrounds, actively asked questions and provided feedback, resulting in lively exchanges of opinions.

At the 13th Health Policy Academy, participants spend approximately six months exploring how to engage with health policy as citizens. The curriculum is structured in steps, from the basics of policy, through theory and analysis, to practical application. Each lecture will feature instructors who are currently active in their respective fields, and participants from diverse backgrounds will engage in discussion. Through group work aimed at creating policy proposals that serve as the final assignment, the program aims to equip participants with the mindset necessary for the actual policy-making process.
